KIWI adventure- when God’s plans get in your way… (you’d be glad it did)

my new zealand experience was not something that can be easily captured by a 7megapixel digicam, nor can it be measured by a diary… but i guess i still had to try.

God is so good. He makes me realize and reminds me ever so often of how faithful he is. When I sometimes feel anxious, and doubt rises up… i realize that I am where I should be and I am blessed–overwhelmingly blessed. And so begings my memoirs of how ayel and I left from manila to NZ to attend the HouRa youth conference in wellington.
THE KIWI ADVENTURE Highlights:
  •  DSWD? WE DONT HAVE ONE- yes, i traveled w/ a minor with no DSWD papers. I was kind of nervouse especially when i saw that it was roughly less than an hour before boarding and we still havent gone through immigration. told ayel “You better start praying in tongues” coz i knew that the only way we would be allowed to fly WITHOUT the DSWD docs was if God spoke to that Immigration supervisor’s heart!— and He did. Hurdle one passed! God is good!                                                                                                         ————————————————>
  • THE LOST SOUL (Filipina in Hngkng)- we had a 2 hour stopover in hongkong, and since we wanted to have a look around- we thought we’d buy a set of cards to amuse ourselves. (me and ayel) We sat down in front of one of the stores (mahal kasi lahat hehehe) and suddenly this girl came and aske dif we were filipino. at jazette a filipina 1st time ofw from nueva ecija- spending a 10 hr stop over in HK, then heads to London, then she will fly to moscow to work as a spa. We shared some experience with her nad soon we were crying— she will not be back for another couple of years— she left her 6 year old daughter home- her own mom was an ofw in the US who never got back to her. We prayed w/ her and soon we had to leave. I just pray that she will be ok now.            ———————————————>
  • OOPPPS missed FLIGHT!- oh no! 15 min and our connecting flight from auckland to wellington is set to leave. we ran out of the intl airport and thought we’d make a dash for the doemstic (since we saw some gramps making the run for it) and boy where we wrong! long story short, the gramps outraced us, we missed our flight and we had to take another flight! good thing the dyers were very patient! hallelujiah!                         ——————————————->

Dallas a visiting friend of the dyers was so sweet too! it was cool that she got to hang with us at Te papa where we saw the…                                                                                                      ———————————>
